HOU seeks to rehabilitate at risk children by creating practices that will facilitate their healthy and holistic growth, and to launch them into Ugandan society as responsible and competent citizens.

Food & Shelter

This is the original dormitory building that housed all 62 children until 2020. It has three rooms with dirt floors. The children were sleeping three to a bed. Teddy, the founder of HOU, rented the building until she was able to buy it with donated funds.

Education

The children attend the local village school for education. HOU’s goal is for each child to complete their secondary education to give them the greatest opportunity to succeed in Ugandan society in the future.
